Spring Break Adventures - Part 2

Haley and I had a quite a fun time in Washington.
A lot of it was down time, watching t.v and movies and showing Haley around the Pacific Northwest.
We had to soak up a week of no stress, no homework, no obligations before beginning an insane spring semester.

Highlights:

Haley and I finally gave each other our Christmas presents...
Pedicures! :)

We stopped by the Portland, OR temple so Haley could see it...
And took pictures in front of it, of course :)

When the weekend came, my parents, Haley and I all went to Lincoln City, Oregon (the coast)

Our first night at dinner was a lot of fun.
I finally got some authentic PacNW fish, which I'd been craving the entire week.

This was a parrot outside of a cute little shop.
Haley and I started dancing and it mimicked us :)

Besides all of the driving to get there and back, it was well worth it, especially because the weather decided to be beautiful just for us :)

Haley was successful in getting 24 semi-trucks to honk

We counted 21 road kill

In Oregon alone, we passed 8 cops

Easter Sunday

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

About a half an hour after I woke up this morning I remember that it was Easter. My first thought was of my parents, and that this is my first Easter away from home. In that same respect, it's also my first Easter without an Easter basket or homemade dinner by my mom.

Though those things are nice, and dearly missed, I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity to spend an Easter only in celebration of Jesus Christ and his atonement.
"Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered."
2 Nephi 2:7

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet he shall live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11: 25-26

Happy Easter!

Update

Spring semester started today.
Am I feeling overwhelmed?
Yes, horribly.

Maybe I'll get around to posting blogs of my amazing week last week.
That is, if I survive this week.
Oh how I hate the first week of the semester.

Wish me luck.

Goodbye, Winter Semester...

I'm definitely not going to miss working 40 hours a week...

But we did have some great memories...

 Hello, Spring Semester :)

Congratulations!

Ashley and Kyle!
The wedding was beautiful and I wish you both nothing but happiness :)

General Conference

"We live to die, and we die to live again."
-Russel M. Nelson

General conference weekend was all Haley and I wished it to be.
We set the bar pretty high last October :)

Three sessions of conference in the theater room, four movies watched, some delicious scones made by Haley's dad for a midnight snack, Olive Garden, and successfully surprising Haley's family all made for a great weekend!

We watched Tangled (finally!), Salt, Red and High School Musical.
I almost forgot how insanely good looking this guy is.

Reading old journal entries and seeing the makings of the Brigham City temple were just a couple things among many that made this last weekend perfect! :)

"Desires dictate our priorities, priorities shape our choices, and choices determine our actions. The desires we act on determine our changing, our achieving, and our becoming."
-Dallin H. Oaks

P.S. I really wanted to have pictures from this weekend to post, but go figure, my camera was dead :(

April 1st

More commonly referred to as April Fool's Day.
Definitely not up there on my list of favorite holidays.

Sure, it's funny at first to realize that you TOTALLY fell for your long lost friend's sudden relationship status changed to 'married', but it gets pretty old about an hour in when you see everyone is suddenly, 'in a relationship', 'single', or 'divorced.'
Come on, people.
Let's be original!
(as long as you don't do the saran wrap on the toilet, or the rubber-banded faucet)

Anywho,
it is April Fool's Day, and for yet another year, I've failed to think of any ingenious plan because April 1st snuck up on me.
I'm not complaining... I've waited for April to come for four months now :)

Haley and I are ready for an amazing weekend in Utah for General Conference!
I'm know we're going to have an AMAZING time.
We always do :)
